Profile

Arsha Cazazian-Clement has been an industry advisor for Commercial Real Estate at Saïd Business School since 2020. 

Arsha also supports various initiatives with the Future of Real Estate Programme and the Oxford Real Estate Society.

She is a multi-disciplined executive with over two decades of experience planning, executing and leading teams for large-scale public and private development projects. In her current role as Director of Global Real Estate for Shearman & Sterling, LLP., she is responsible for the firm’s workplace strategy, CRE & technology integration, delivery and management of the partnership’s 1 million global real estate portfolio spanning 26 offices across 5 continents.

Prior to joining Shearman & Sterling, Arsha managed growth for JLL’s Project & Development Service line maintaining a deep focus and passion for sustainable, scalable and impactful development with particular concentration in underserved areas in the US and abroad.

Arsha also served as Principal of the commercial practice at Stantec where she was instrumental in executing a strategic plan for the New York commercial real estate sector addressing growth, talent, diversity, sustainability, technology and design excellence serving the needs of multi-national institutions, owners, occupiers, developers and portfolio managers.

Prior to joining Stantec, Arsha founded Soho-based D I A W R K S, a full-service solutions firm, providing design and consulting services to clients in the residential, commercial and institutional markets.  Notable clients include Showtime, CBS, The Harvard Club of NY, Erno Laszlo, Kieihl’s, Loreal, Madame Paulette, NYIT School of Architecture, Mission to the United Nations for the OIC, Ashkenazy Acquisitions, Witkoff Group and Africa Israel USA.

In tandem with her professional career, Arsha has participated in sustainable development initiatives and projects in emerging markets. She was as an active member of the United Nations Development Programme coupled with various pro bono commitments to the Impact Network, building schools along Zambia’s Copperbelt with deep focus on alternative energy solutions. She also served as Associate professor of Architecture at the New York Institute of Technology for 8 years.

Arsha holds a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University, GSAPP, a women’s scholarship at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford with a Diploma in Strategy & Innovation and an Associate Fellow with a concentration in real estate ESG and urbanisation.

Research

Arsha has been actively involved in research addressing the shifting trends and future of buildings from a transaction, performance enhancement and programmatic perspective. She is currently working towards aligning stakeholders and end users to encourage data sharing optimisation that will generate positive financial, environmental and social outcomes.
