Profile
Anthony started his DPhil in Finance in 2022 and is jointly supervised by Martin Schmalz and Bige Kahraman.
His research focuses on the real effects of index investing. In particular, he empirically studies how trends in index investing affect corporate behaviour and the market for exchange-traded funds. Before joining the DPhil programme he conducted research at the Oxford Sustainable Finance Group.
Previously, Anthony completed the MSc in Financial Economics with Distinction and won the Saïd Prize for his outstanding academic achievement. He also holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of St Gallen.
Anthony is a Clarendon scholar and member of Green Templeton College.
Teaching
Anthony has tutored on the Undergraduate Finance elective for BA (Hons) in Economics and Management at Oxford Saïd and on the BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Oxford.
