Alexandra Rebdi
Entrepreneurship Expert
Profile
Alex is passionate about working to make a positive impact on society, and deliver exceptional business growth, whether that’s within a start-up or more established organisation. She has a strong engineering background with a first class Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Bristol, coupled with an Executive MBA from Cranfield University. Through her career Alex has built experience of strategy, business operations, change management and programme delivery across consultancy and in-house technology organisations.
Starting out as a Design Engineer at Renishaw Plc provided a good technical and product development grounding, before moving on to join the founding team of a management consultancy, KorteQ, which was a start-up spun out of Rolls-Royce. This enabled Alex to experience diverse cultures and organisational activities working across a wide range of FTSE 250 organisations, including utilities, defence, and government agencies. During this time Alex conducted her Executive MBA with a focus on growing the business, and gained over seven years account management and operational business experience.
In 2014, Alex joined the innovative consumer tech company Dyson and has held a number of roles across the organisation. Her initial focus on making the product development of new concepts as efficient and effective as possible, involved working with global teams and gaining international experience. She has also been involved in establishing international scientific advisory boards, and pioneering ‘not for profit’ products to enable studies into the impact of air pollution on child health.
