Alex graduated from Oxford University, and gained many years of broad legal experience at leading law firms Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Hogan Lovells, including client secondments at Goldman Sachs, Tesco and ExxonMobil.
He Co-Founded Ignition Law in 2015, a full-service law firm, which focuses on start-ups, scale-ups and entrepreneurial clients, to provide pragmatic and cost effective legal services to many thousands of clients to date, as well as with many leading business schools, universities, and leading investors.
Ignition Law has been recognised at the Lawyer Awards for innovation, FT Innovative Lawyers Awards, Legal Business Awards, SME News, LegalWeek Awards for Innovation and the Great British Entrepreneurship Awards.
More recently Alex Co-Founded Ignition Financial, a corporate finance and tax boutique to also help start-ups, scale ups and entrepreneurial businesses.
Ignition has worked with many thousands of small businesses and works collaboratively with accelerators, incubators, family offices and universities to support a huge and diverse number of entrepreneurs building incredible companies.
Outside of Ignition, Alex is a fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, sits on a corporate advisory board of LexisNexis and has lectured on the Cambridge University Masters in Corporate Law and is a keen champion of the many talented entrepreneurs at all stages in the Oxford community.
