Adam Koling is a doctoral candidate at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Adam is interested in the social and economic systems related to urban infrastructure and human mobility. His research employs mixed methods to examine how local and regional labour outcomes, economic productivity, entrepreneurship, and innovation can be influenced by built environments, urban transport and land use, and activated by emerging technologies such as app-based ride-hailing services.

Adam receives a Green Templeton College-Oxford Saïd DPhil Scholarship and holds an MS in engineering and public policy from Carnegie Mellon University, dual MS and MCP degrees in civil and environmental engineering and city and regional planning from UC Berkeley, and a BA from Columbia University.
