Skoll Centre Research Fellow, Systems Change

Grade  8: £40,792 to £48,677 (with a discretionary range to £53,174 p.a.)

Fixed term until 31 July 2021

We invite applications for the position of Skoll Centre Research Fellow (Systems Change) at Saïd Business School. The post holder will contribute to the development of a multi-disciplinary mixed methods approach for research on systems change in theory and in practice and will have primary responsibility for specific projects within the overall initiative. One initial project will be to work on the analysis of data from a sample of founders and ventures focused on systems change and equilibrium transformation.

The Research Fellow will be affiliated with the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship and will have the option to affiliate with one of the core academic areas in the School.

She or he will also work with the Skoll Centre team to inform systems change programming with insights gleaned from the research and will contribute to the development of a long-term research strategy for the Skoll Centre related to systems change. The PI for the project and supervisor for this post will be one of the Centre faculty, Dr Marc Ventresca.

The successful candidate will hold, or be close to completion, of a relevant PhD/D.Phil with post-qualification research experience in a social sciences discipline, speciality expertise in organisation theory, strategy, social network analysis, social innovation, economic and business history, social movements and social change and/or advanced research methods expertise. You will also demonstrate potential for a substantial publication record and familiarity with the relevant research literatures or show a willingness to acquire this expertise rapidly. The remit of the post also involves working closely with researchers and other colleagues at Oxford and engaging with the Skoll Centre agenda to educate and convene around social entrepreneurship, systems change and impact.
