Saïd Business School wishes to appoint an internationally leading academic in the field of organisational theory and/or social impact. This is a permanent, full-time faculty position based at Saïd Business School, Park End Street, Oxford.

The successful candidate will have a doctorate and an established substantial international reputation for scholarship and ongoing research in organisational theory and/or social impact; an outstanding record of academic publication in top journals. The leadership capability required to conceive, initiate and manage a significant, intellectually rigorous, up-to-date, and relevant programme of research on contemporary issues.

A proven record of and commitment to outstanding instruction and teaching in organisation studies topics and/or social impact, especially at MBA and Executive level.

The postholder will have the ability to manage and supervise doctoral students and junior colleagues. Ability and readiness to contribute to the development and management of both Organisation Studies and Strategy and Innovation groups. A proven record of attracting research support and the ability to develop grant proposals.

The main duties of the postholder will be to undertake advanced research in the area of organisational theory and/or social impact that makes a fundamental contribution to the field. The postholder will be expected to publish to high academic standards in top academic journals. To provide leadership that will contribute to the direction of research within the academic groups.

To lecture, or hold classes, for a period of time per year teaching in degree and/or non-degree executive programmes; to take part in University examining. The postholder will be excepted to lead and/or contribute to research and teaching activities. To supervise and advise on research undertaken by doctoral students and early career researchers; to engage with external organisations for purposes such as (but not limited to) research dissemination and impact, teaching and pedagogical development.

To act in a formal leadership capacity within the School as and when requested to do so, and to be an active and contributing member of the School.

The postholder will be expected to act as a PI or Co-I in developing and implementing grants/projects.

Salary will be competitive relative to senior-level appointments in Organisational Theory and/or Social Impact and proven academic distinction can be recognised by the University by the award of the title of Professor upon appointment.
