Programme and Examinations Manager

Grade 6: £28,660 - £34,189 p.a


This is an exciting and responsible new role that has been created to support the growth in Postgraduate Diploma operations across executive degree programmes and examinations at Oxford Saïd Business School.

The Executive Degrees team manage the School’s world-class Executive MBA (EMBA), Masters in Major Programme Management (MMPM) and Postgraduate Diplomas in Strategy and Innovation; Organisational Leadership; Financial Strategy and Global Business.

You will play a key role in translating Oxford Saïd’s strategy into operational outcomes, collaborating with stakeholders internally and externally to ensure the quality of the World-Class student experience. You will provide advice and support on decisions affecting Executive Degree programmes and assessment, to fellow administrators and particularly Programme Directors and faculty teaching on Executive Degrees.

Working closely with the Programme Director and other senior staff, you will be responsible for the project management of, initially, one Postgraduate Diploma, encompassing programme timetabling and set-up of each module through to programme delivery to programme completion. Under the guidance of the Senior Assessment Manager and Chair of Examiners, you will also effectively manage the examinations and assessment process for another Diploma programme.

To be shortlisted for interview you will need to demonstrate: your successful experience of project or event management in a higher education or professional environment, with the ability to work to tight and frequently changing priorities and deadlines, without compromising quality; your superior customer service skills and professional manner with demonstrable experience of working effectively with Senior level executive clients or customers, cross-culturally, to ensure satisfaction and resolution of concerns; your experience of managing budgets and working to a high level of accuracy with meticulous attention to detail.

The ability to work flexibly outside of standard office hours, including occasional: early mornings, evenings, weekends in Oxford and overseas, is a key requirement.
