Faculty Administration Manager, FAME (maternity cover)

Grade 6 £29,176 - £34,804 with discretionary range to £38,017 pa.

The academic disciplines in Saïd Business School are organised into three Academic Areas: Finance, Accounting, Management Science, Economics (FAME); Strategy, Innovation, Marketing (SIM); and Operations Management and Organisational Behaviour, Science and Technology Studies (TOPOS). In addition, Oxford Saïd houses research centres and institutes which sit within these groups. The FAME academic group has 27 members of faculty and 14 researchers and accommodates the Centre for Business Taxation (CBT) and the Private Equity Institute (PEI).

The Faculty Administration Manager, FAME is responsible to the Head of Academic Area and Research Administration and manages the team taking administrative responsibility for the FAME group and the PEI. The post requires an experienced administrator with the ability to develop and manage the day-to-day administration of the FAME Group. (S)he will work closely with the Academic Area Head, providing effective and responsive administrative support in pursuing the aims of the Group, including leading on resource management and recruitment (staff and fellows). The postholder will be responsible for budgets and forecasting for FAME, PEI and, currently, Oxford Saïd Finance Lab (OSFL) and will line-manage a Faculty Assistant (Grade 4) and other casual staff as appropriate. (S)he will work closely with both senior and junior members of FAME and the wider School in ensuring the highest level of professional support for the Area.

The Faculty Administration Manager, FAME will be an enthusiastic individual with demonstrable experience of multitasking and an ability to establish effective working relationships with others. You will have experience of managing resources and a solution-based approach to your work, preferable in an academic setting.

Please note this is a 1-year fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Secondment opportunities also considered.
