Executive Degrees: Programme Materials Officer

Saïd Business School is recruiting for a Programme and Materials Officer to provide comprehensive administrative support, ensuring world-class service for our students and faculty in the day-to-day delivery of the School’s Executive Degree programmes.

This role will require you to perform sometimes complex administrative activities in a busy work environment. The key areas of responsibility are: to lead on the procurement and distribution of reading materials, in compliance with copyright legislation; manage a budget; assist with event organisation such as programme modules, extra-curricular activities, College dinners, Welcome and End of Course Ceremonies and overseas modules (currently USA, China, India and South Africa) and provide continuity of service to students in the absence of Programme Managers.

The post requires considerable liaison and networking internally with faculty, students, Student and Programmes Services staff and externally with publishers and libraries. Collaborative working with another Programme and Materials Officer will be essential.

To be shortlisted for interview you will need to demonstrate excellent organisation skills and your ability to manage multiple priorities and to deliver quality work to tight deadlines. Ideally, you will have experience of managing services or projects and working with quantitative and qualitative information. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to form influential relationships and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders are essential requirements for this role as is good judgement and strong problem-solving skills. Knowledge of copyright legislation would be an advantage.

The ability to work flexibly outside of standard office hours, including occasional: early mornings, evenings, weekends in Oxford and overseas, is a key requirement. This role would suit individuals who are interested in developing their career in both higher education and event management.
