Grade 7: £32,817 - £40,322 with a discretionary range to £44,045 p.a.

The School currently occupies several locations in Oxford, including an award-winning site in Oxford city centre, Egrove Park; a residential business meeting venue in a parkland setting, and the Oxford Foundry; the University’s entrepreneurship centre. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to take the lead in the identification, implementation and delivery of appropriate environmental focussed management systems in line with the University of Oxford’s strategy.
Reporting to the Director of Estates, the primary focus of the role will be establishing, delivering and management of environmental focussed management systems across the Business School. Key to this role is the development and implementation relating to general sustainability performance. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders, and will maintain relationships across the wider University in order to deliver the management systems and other sustainability-related initiatives, including working with departments to identify and implement methods of reducing environmental and other sustainability impacts.
The successful candidate should be educated to degree level or equivalent, holding a qualification in a relevant environment or energy related subject or a vocational qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 4). You will have project management and delivery experience, and the ability to demonstrate that you have comprehensive experience influencing other stakeholders to engage the concepts of Environmental Management and Sustainability. You should also have experience of Environmental focussed management systems.
