Grade 7: £32,817 - £40,322 (with a discretionary range to £44,045) pa

Due to the continued success of our online portfolio of Open Programmes within our Executive Education team we are looking to appoint a Digital Project Officer on a 2 year fixed term contract.

Digital Project Officers hold the key responsibility of the project management and ongoing success of Open’s Online Executive Education portfolio within the School. Working with the Business Development Manager, this Digital Project Officer will create and manage an elite service for participants who enter into our online portfolio, working closely with our faculty and EdTech partner to deliver specific projects, shape the broader portfolio experience and embed new services and practices to facilitate matrix working across the business.

The Post-holder will effectively be ‘project and relationship manager,’ responsible for a portfolio of projects and for leading global project teams - managing the effective operational planning of the programmes - resulting in positive and enriched faculty relationships where expectations are exceeded, side-by-side with achieving agreed profit levels for the School.

Digital Project Officers are specifically responsible for leading project teams and managing and coordinating planning in order to create a diverse and informative portfolio of online programmes. This includes: creation and management of the project plan, planning key stakeholder meetings, management oversight of all logistics, implementation, management and tracking of all budgets and oversight of programme delivery planning. They will ensure that contracts are in place for every programme build and provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key responsibilities and objectives.

To be considered at shortlisting you must be able to demonstrate; demonstrable experience of project management within a high performance customer service role; experience of planning, managing and tracking multiple projects to meet tight deadlines, without compromising quality; experience of managing budgets; experience of building cost elements on projects and tracking actual expenditure against a budget; strong evidence of the ability to work collaboratively and to gain the trust and confidence of, and to influence and persuade, people at all levels, both internal and external to the University, to manage relationships with multiple stakeholder groups; an Entrepreneurial mindset with an organised and structured approach to work and an ability to work with ambiguity and under pressure, without direct supervision to meet deadlines, reorienting at short notice as required. This role will include international travel.
