Applications are invited for two Career Development Fellows in AI and Sustainable Development – Social Sciences, at Saïd Business School. Reporting to Professor Luciano Floridi, Professor Andrew Stephen, and Dr Mariarosaria Taddeo, the Career Development Fellows will conduct research into how AI has been and can be in the future used to support and advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Under the direction of Professor Luciano Floridi, Professor Andrew Stephen, and Dr Mariarosaria Taddeo, the successful candidates will produce and collaborate on academic research aimed at top peer-reviewed journals and present this research at national and international conferences. The Career Development Fellows will also be involved in the development, management, and execution of research projects that are of a high quality and will likely have a strong, measurable impact on practice, policy, and/or regulation in business and/or the public sector, whilst also contributing to the administration/management of the AIxSDG Initiative.
The successful candidates will hold, or be nearing completion of, either a relevant PhD in human or social science, preferably business, law, or economics, or a PhD in a relevant mathematical or engineering science, preferably artificial intelligence, computer science, or data science. The successful Fellow’s will have strong proven interests in both the applications of digital technologies to business and society, and issues related to ethics, governance, law, policy-making or risk assessment of digital technologies. They will also have a strong proven interest in conducting research that aligns with the Saïd Business School’s research mission to produce research of the highest quality that is meaningfully relevant to, and impactful on, business practice.
