Career Development Fellow in Marketing

Grade 8 (£41,526 - £49,553 with a discretionary range to £54,131) p.a.

Fixed term of three years

Applications are invited for the position of Career Development Fellow in Marketing at Saïd Business School. Reporting to Professor Andrew Stephen, L’Oréal Professor of Marketing and Director of the Oxford Future of Marketing Initiative, the post holder will be based in the SIM (Strategy, Innovation and Marketing) academic area and will be expected to define and execute a research agenda in Marketing. The School is particularly interested in candidates whose research and teaching interests align with the main themes and research priorities of the Oxford Future of Marketing Initiative (FOMI), as well as the interests of the current marketing faculty group.

Under the direction of Professor Stephen, the successful candidate will produce independent academic research aimed at and/or published in top peer-reviewed journals. They will also present this research at the major national and international academic marketing conferences. The Fellow will teach 144 teaching points in degree and/or executive programmes, primarily on courses related to marketing.

The successful candidate will hold, or be close to completion, of a PhD/DPhil in marketing or a relevant related field (e.g. computer science, statistics, economics, psychology). The successful candidate must have strong quantitative skills, including extensive experience working with large datasets and advanced empirical modelling skills using state-of-the-art methods. They must also be committed to supporting the teaching activities of the marketing group within the SIM academic area. The Fellow should also be comfortable presenting their research to and interacting with a range of audiences, including other academic researchers, senior executives/practitioners, and students.
