Business Development Manager

Grade 8: £41,526 - £49,553 per annum (with a discretionary range to £54,131)

Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join the Executive Education team at Oxford University’s Saїd Business School, based at Egrove Park, Kennington on a permanent basis.

Our on campus executive programmes are ranked number 1 in the UK in the Global 2019 FT Executive Education rankings. We are committed to maintaining this quality while growing the business in our next phase of expansion. A key part of this is the recent introduction of online executive programmes, exponentially increasing the number of participants we can reach.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the School’s strategy in expanding the range of executive development programmes. You will manage the relationship with our development and delivery partner, and build a strong portfolio of commercially attractive online programmes to complement our market leading in-person programmes.

As an ideal candidate, you will be skilled in establishing excellent working relationships with faculty, and able to work collaboratively with other members of the School’s administration to deliver high impact development experiences. You will implement a strategy to progress existing relationships with corporate sponsors, cultivate new corporate relationships and offer creative solutions to grow the portfolio in line with the School’s ambitious strategy.

Ideally you are a high achiever, and have a proven track record of success in a business development role: preferably within the business school or commercial education sectors, however transferable careers will be considered. You should be a team player with the ability to identify, establish and maintain relationships with senior clients and stakeholders in a B2B and B2C environment. Excellent communication and strong time management skills are essential to succeed in this sometimes pressured but rewarding environment.

If you consider that you meet the essential selection criteria for the post as detailed in the job description below please submit your application to vacancies@sbs.ox.ac.uk including a CV and covering letter.
