Associate Director - Programmes

Grade 9: £47,263 - £54,765 with a discretionary range to £59,828 p.a.

Fixed term to July 2021

The Associate Director for Programmes will play a central role in further developing the Skoll Centre for Entrepreneurship as the University’s leading institution for applied social entrepreneurship teaching, training and research. As a practitioner with strong credentials and as a creative thought leader, he/she will be jointly responsible for the overall direction and strategic development of the Centre.

The role of the Associate Director for Programmes will include responsibilities ranging from strategic management to development of new programmes and to fostering key stakeholder relationships. The post holder will work closely with the Director to manage a growing team and portfolio of pioneering projects and research with local and global reach and will engage with various target markets including staff from various University departments as well as external stakeholders, in order to ensure connections with activities both within and outside of the University. This will include working with the Dean and senior management of Saïd Business School and the Social Sciences Division as well as other academic departments. Externally, the Associate Director will engage with multiple stakeholders globally, and represent the Centre Director when necessary.

A good understanding of the academic environment with a well-developed appreciation of Oxford culture will enhance the candidate’s ability to deliver in both the University and business community. Also, a strong interest in social entrepreneurship, science and its applications together with high-level consultative skills are key factors to success in this role.
