Admissions Manager

Grade 7: £32,236 - £39,609 pa

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Admissions Manager within the School’s Degree Programmes Services Department, which is responsible for providing seamless quality and delivery of the student experience across the full-time degrees including Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Masters in Financial Economics (MFE), Masters in Law and Finance (MLF), Doctoral Programme in Management Studies, BA in Economics and Management and the 1+1 MBA Programme.

Reporting to the Senior Degree Programmes Manager the postholder will be directly responsible for managing complex admissions processes working closely with a broad set of key stakeholders for one or more of the school’s full-time degree programmes. They will be responsible for ensuring that all students receive outstanding customer service and flawless logistical arrangements. This is a responsible, demanding and pivotal role requiring the postholder to be an extremely organised individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills. They will need to demonstrate initiative, sound judgement, confidentiality and a good team ethic, with the ability to work both independently and within the degree programmes team. In order to ensure this, they will build rapport, naturally engage and interact with all stakeholders externally, internally and within the wider University.

As Admissions Manager, you will promote a professional, empowered and purposeful culture, delivering service of the highest quality based on a culture of continuous improvement. This will include taking a leading role in developing and maintaining appropriate quality assurance mechanisms and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation. They will also provide expert advice on admissions matters to colleagues within the school and wider University, particularly programme directors and faculty, other departments within the school particularly Careers, Marketing, Alumni Relations, Development and IT and across the wider collegiate University including Graduate Admissions, Colleges and Funding.

To be considered at shortlisting you will have admissions experience as well as excellent customer service skills and a professional manner with the ability to confidently build rapport with a wide range of people within and beyond the University. You should have demonstrable ability to work to tight, demanding deadlines without compromising on quality. Accuracy and attention to detail is vital as well as the confidence to work on your own initiative.

This is a full-time position but part-time (0.8 FTE) would be considered on request.
