The School is delighted to welcome Steve Ballmer, former Chief Executive Officer at Microsoft, to join Dean Peter Tufano in conversation at the Saïd Business School for an informal lunchtime talk. The majority of this event will be questions and answers.

Steve Ballmer will be speaking more formally at the Oxford Union later that day at 16:00.

About the speaker

Steve Ballmer is a director of Microsoft Corporation. He joined Microsoft in 1980 and was the company’s first business manager. Ballmer retired as Chief Executive Officer on 4 February 2014. Before becoming CEO in 2000, his roles at Microsoft included senior vice president of sales and support, senior vice president of systems software and vice president of marketing. Under his leadership, Microsoft more than tripled revenue and doubled profits.
