Saïd Business School Scholarships

In addition to those scholarships offered by the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School will be offering a number of scholarships to students accepted onto our 2017/18 MBA programme. Please make sure you tick the scholarships box on the finance section of the application form.

Each scholarship will take the form of a partial remission of the course fee. Scholarships will be awarded based upon:

  • Prior academic performance
  • Breadth and depth of work experience
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Nationality 
  • Gender

Saïd Business School Foundation Graduate Scholarships Full tuition fees and living expenses Awarded on the basis of academic merit. Suitable candidates who receive an offer for the MBA class commencing in September 2017 will be automatically considered for these awards.

Saïd Foundation scholarships

Up to £48,850

A number of scholarships will be awarded to outstanding candidates from the following regions:

  • Africa

  • Latin America

  • Middle East

  • Asia

  • Eastern Europe

Candidates who receive an offer for the MBA class commencing in September 2017 will be automatically considered for these awards.

Saïd Foundation scholarships

Up to £48,850 Scholarships awarded to outstanding candidates from the United Kingdom who can demonstrate potential to make a strong contribution to the growth of the UK economy, particularly in lesser developed UK regions.  Candidates who receive an offer for the MBA class commencing in September 2017 will be automatically considered for these awards.

Global Shaper scholarships

£50,200

Scholarships will be awarded to Shapers who have demonstrated exceptional personal achievements, as well as potential to transform their communities. When selecting the scholarship recipients we will consider:

  • The applicant’s merits from both academic and professional perspectives, evidence of university prizes or awards, evidence of career progression.

  • Applicant’s leadership potential and ability to positively influence others.

  • Applicant’s engagement with the Shapers community and the Hub they belong to, including their involvement with their network.

Scholarships will be awarded to two Shapers who have successfully received an offer to join the programme. The application must be received in stages 1, 2, 3 or 4.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a scholarship award interview conducted by a group of senior staff and faculty at the School.

Dean's scholarship for nationals from African countries £10,000 Awarded to African born nationals who have demonstated outstanding leadership abilities and can demonstrate a commitment to the African continent via personal mentorship or community involvement Candidates who apply in stages 1, 2, 3 or 4.
Dean's scholarship for nationals from Latin American countries £10,000 Awarded to Latin-American nationals who have demonstated outstanding leadership abilities and can demonstrate a commitment to the Latin-America region via personal mentorship or community involvement Candidates who apply in stages 1, 2, 3 or 4.
Skoll scholarship

Full tuition fees and an allowance for living expenses.

Candidates who have a strong track record in social entrepreneurship and intend to return to work in this sector after their studies. Candidates must have started and grown a social venture that has been running for at least 3 years, OR have been responsible for leading a major expansion of an existing social venture or programme within that venture for 3 years. Find out more about the Skoll Scholarship here. Candidates who apply in stages 1, 2, 3 or 4. Select "Skoll" under funding section of the MBA application form.
Forte Foundation Fellowships £15,000 2 successful female MBA applicants.The aim of the scholarship is to support female candidates of merit and to help increase the number of women joining Saïd Business School. More broadly the scholarship seeks to encourage an increase in women considering a management career within the business sector. Candidates who apply in stages 1, 2 or 3 and receive an offer for the MBA class commencing in September 2016 will be automatically considered for these awards.
Jala Foundation Scholarship £15,000 Scholarship is awarded to 3 Chinese female MBA candidates, based on demonstrated academic, professional and leadership achievements as well as demonstrated ability to overcome difficulties. Candidates from all stages are considered.
EY Angolan scholarships Full tuition fee plus living expenses

Candidates must be resident in Angola and meet the minimum requirements for entry onto the programme

Candidates who receive an offer for the MBA class commencing in September 2017 will be automatically considered for these awards.  Please be aware that once you receive an offer for the MBA programme, you will be asked to submit an essay relevant to the scholarship. 
Alumni Annual Fund Scholarships – generously funded by donations from the alumni community £15,000 2 scholarships will be awarded to candidates whose applications demonstrate solid volunteer leadership  Open to candidates who apply in stages 1, 2 or 3.  Please be aware that when you submit your application, in addition to your mandatory essay questions, you will be asked to submit an essay relevant to the scholarship.
Derek Cooper Africa Scholarship Up to full tuition fees The Scholarship shall be available to graduate students who are and will remain orginarily resident in one of Standard Bank of South Africa Limited's African presence countries.  Prospective candidates will need to demonstrate exceptional academic merit and/or potential when commencing the MBA programme.  Candidates who apply in stages 1, 2 or 3 and receive an offer for the MBA class commencing in September 2017 will be automatically considered for these awards.
Oxford Pershing Square scholarship 100% of University and college fees and a grant for living costs (at least £13,863)
You should be applying to start a new 1+1 MBA programme at Oxford.
 
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.
17 March 2017 for the MBA
However please note that some partnering Masters close their applications in January 2017 and others in March 2017 therefore you may need to submit earlier than 17 March. 
Please be aware that when you submit your application, in addition to your three essay questions, you will be asked to submit an essay relevant to the scholarship.
