Saïd Business School scholarships

The Saïd Business School will be offering a number of scholarships to students accepted onto our 2017/18 MBA programme.

Where an additional action is required of you in order to be considered for the scholarship, such as submitting a scholarship essay and/or ticking the relevant box in the Funding section of the MBA programme application form, this will be listed under the 'Deadline and application process' below.

Saïd Business School Foundation Academic Excellence Scholarships

Three awards are available.

The award covers full tuition fees and a £13,000 grant for living expenses.

Awarded on the basis of academic excellence.

Automatic consideration for all offer-holders.

Awards are likely to be made following the admissions decisions from stages 1, 2 and 3, so early application is advisable, however awards may be made at later stages. 

Saïd Business School Foundation Regional Scholarships

A number of partial awards (typically between £5,000 and £15,000) covering a portion of the tuition fee.

The minimum number of awards will vary per each region listed. The minimum will typically be between 4 and 6 awards. 

Awarded to outstanding candidates from the following regions:

Africa
Latin America
Middle East
South East & East Asia
Europe (including UK)

Automatic consideration for all offer-holders.

Awards are likely to be made following the admissions decisions from stages 1, 2 and 3, so early application is advisable, however awards may be made at later stages.

Global Shaper Scholarship

One award covering the full tuition fee (£52,000 in 2017-18).

Awarded to a Shaper who has demonstrated exceptional personal achievements, as well as potential to transform his/her community.

Selection will consider:

- Merit from academic and professional perspectives, evidence of university prizes or awards, evidence of career progression.

- Leadership potential and ability to positively influence others.

- Engagement with the Shapers community and the Hub he/she belongs to, including involvement with his/her network.

Automatic consideration for Global Shapers who receive an admissions offer from stages 1 – 4.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview. Interviews will be held around mid-May (exact dates TBC). Interview notifications will be sent by email in early May. 

Dean's scholarship - Africa One award of £10,000 towards the tuition fee. Awarded to an African born national who has demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities and can demonstrate a commitment to the African continent via personal mentorship or community involvement.

Automatic consideration for all eligible offer holders from admissions stages 1-4. 

Decisions will be made after stage 4 admissions decisions.

Dean's scholarship - Latin America and Caribbean One award of £10,000 towards the tuition fee. Awarded to a Latin-American or Caribbean national who has demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities and can demonstrate a commitment to his/her region via personal mentorship or community involvement.

Automatic consideration for all eligible offer holders from admissions stages 1-4. 

Decisions will be made after stage 4 admissions decisions.

Skoll scholarship

Up to five awards covering the full tuition fee and partial living expenses based on need, up to an additional £8,000.

Awarded to candidates with a strong track record in social entrepreneurship and who intend to return to work in this sector after their studies.

In early March, the Skoll Centre will email details of the Skoll Scholarship online application form to candidates who have been accepted onto the MBA programme.

Forte Foundation Fellowships Two awards of £15,000 towards tuition fees. 

Awarded to female candidates.

The aim of the scholarship is to support female candidates of merit and to help increase the number of women joining Saïd Business School. More broadly the scholarship seeks to encourage an increase in women considering a management career within the business sector.

Automatic consideration for all eligible offer holders from admissions stages 1-3.

Decisions will be made after stage 3 admissions decisions.

EY Scholarships Up to seven awards, covering full tuition fee plus living expenses and flights (Angola-UK/ UK-Angola) at the start and end of the programme. 

Please note that this scholarship is not yet confirmed. This page will be updated once we receive confirmation on whether the award is available for 2017-18 entry. We expect to receive notification in early 2017.

Candidates must be ordinarily resident in Angola and will be asked to submit an essay relevant to the scholarship.

Automatic consideration for all offer-holders at every admissions stage, provided that all awards have not yet been allocated. Application in stages 1-4 is advisable. 

Eligible candidates will be contacted by email and asked to submit an additional scholarship essay. 

Annual Alumni Fund Scholarships –

generously funded by donations from the alumni community

Two awards of £15,000 towards tuition fees. 

Awarded to candidates who have applied in Stages 1 to 3 and who have uploaded the additional scholarship essay to their application.

Selection will be based on academic excellence and the demonstration of solid volunteer leadership skills. 

Candidates who apply in stages 1, 2 or 3 and who submit the scholarship essay will be considered after the Stage 3 admissions decisions. If the essay was not submitted with your application, it can be emailed to your Admissions Adviser by the deadline of 17 February 2017. 
Oxford Ideality Scholarships  Two awards of £15,000 towards tuition fees.  Awarded on the basis of academic excellence, with a preference for students who are ordinarily resident in China.

Automatic consideration for all eligible offer holders from admissions stages 1-3.

Decisions will be made after stage 3 admissions decisions.

Oxford Pershing Square scholarship Full tuition and college fees and a grant for living costs (at least £13,863)
You should be applying to start a new 1+1 MBA programme at Oxford.
 
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.

You must submit your MBA application by 17 March 2017. In your application you must select 1+1 under the programme of interest, and you must upload the scholarship essay.

You must submit your partnering Masters application by the programme deadline.

Please note some partnering Masters programmes close their applications in January 2017 and others in March 2017.
