Overview

Thomas Powell is Professor of Strategy at Saïd Business School, and Fellow of Management Studies at St Hugh's College, Oxford. He teaches in the MBA and undergraduate Economics and Management programmes.

Powell's research deals with competition, strategy and firm performance. He has published extensively in leading management journals such as Strategic Management Journal and Academy of Management Review.

Powell received his PhD from New York University's Stern Graduate School of Management and has taught at universities in the USA, Canada, Australia, France and the UK. He consults globally on competitive strategy and is a member of the Strategic Management Society, Academy of Management and American Economic Association.
