Overview
Tamar received her PhD in Sociology at Nuffield College, University of Oxford in 2010, where she retains an associate membership. Prior to undertaking her doctoral work, Tamar completed an MA (Summa cum laude) in Sociology at Haifa University, and received The Israeli Sociological Society prize for her MA thesis. Tamar completed her undergraduate degree (Summa cum laude) at Haifa University, gaining a BA in Art History and Sociology.
Tamar's research interests include economic sociology, organization studies, social networks, and sociology of culture and art. Tamar’s research focuses on the role of exchange relations in markets and their effects on reputation. Her work provides insight into reputation in markets that are characterized by a high degree of uncertainty, primarily the art market.
