Overview
Steve Ludlow is Director of Custom Programmes within Executive Education at Oxford Saïd Business School and has overall responsibility for ensuring the success of the School’s commissioned programmes for a wide range of international clients. Steve is an experienced programme designer, director, teacher, account director and learning facilitator.
Prior to joining Oxford University, Steve spent seven years at London Business School where he directed the School's largest general management open programme, the Accelerated Development Programme (ADP) for three years and was responsible for all aspects of the teaching and learning process that helped over 500 international managers to make the transition from functional to general management. Steve redesigned the ADP to include a greater emphasis on integration and post-programme support, reflecting his belief that learning is most effective when focussed on the practical challenges faced by managers in the workplace.
After the ADP Steve became an Associate Director at London Business School's Centre for Management Development, a role which involved developing programmes and managing the School’s relationships with a range of corporate clients including Deutsche Telekom and Ericsson. During this time Steve also directed London Business School’s prestigious ‘Global Business Consortium’, a programme that included participants from Oracle, Standard Chartered Bank, SKF, BT, Mars and Emirates.
Trained originally as an engineer, Steve worked in technical, business development and managerial roles in automotive, general engineering and defence companies before moving into business education after completing an MBA. His career in higher education has included five years as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Management at the University of North London and three years as a Principal Lecturer at London Guildhall University.
