OxLab at Saїd is an interdisciplinary laboratory specialising in the study of human behaviour in a variety of tasks – especially inter dependent decision situations (also known as games). The lab is open to all members of faculty in SBS and to graduate students, subject to compliance with our ethical policy (further details of which are available online http://oxlab.oii.ox.ac.uk/public/oxlabguidelines.pdf)
Oxlab at Saїd (formerly Oxlab) is a social sciences experimental lab based in the Said Business School. The lab was founded in 2007 by Nir Vulkan and the Finance and Economics group in SBS and Helen Margetts from the Oxford Internet Institute. It was established using a grant from the University of Oxford’s fell grant and is currently funded by a generous grant from the Said Foundation. Since its inception a large number of experiments have been run in the lab investigating a multitude of different social science research topics. In addition to strictly controlled laboratory experiments, we have run two quasi-field experiments where subjects participated remotely through custom built Oxlab software, and currently planning several internet based experiments.
A key feature of the lab is that our large subject pool comprised of both non-students and students.
