Big Society Capital (BSC) is a financial institution set up for the purpose of building the market for social investment in the UK. This case study examines the various initiatives, policies and strategies that were relevant to Big Society Capital’s creation, as well as the rationales behind them. Written by Alex Nicholls and Jess Daggers.
Twelve teaching case studies on Innovative Finance in Africa. The cases feature eighteen impact enterprises and sixteen funds from eleven countries across the continent. The sectors covered include agriculture, access to housing, access to health, access to finance, access to education, and water, sanitation and hygiene.
Essays from world-class Oxford academics across six broad themes (Environmental Sustainability, Education, Economic Opportunity, Health, Peace and Human Rights, Sustainable Markets) aimed to contribute to and accelerate the work of entrepreneurs working to address these challenges.
Pears Business Schools Partnership
The Pears Business Schools Partnership, a four-year collaboration between Cranfield School of Management, London Business School and Saïd Business School funded by the Pears Foundation, produced 31 case studies around promoting sustainable and responsible business in society by engaging and inspiring the next generation of leaders.
