Mari Sako
Academic Director

An expert in her field of international business, Professor Sako’s research interests focus on the connections between global corporate strategy, comparative business systems and human resource management. She is Professor of Management Studies for the Saïd Business School and Senior Fellow of the ESRC/ EPSRC Advanced Institute of Management Research, researching on productivity and performance in business services. Professor Sako is Academic Director of the Oxford Diploma in Global Business.

Eric Thun
International Business

Dr Thun is Peter Moores Lecturer in Chinese Business Studies and lectures on the School’s Executive MBA programme. A political scientist by training, Thun’s research focuses on issues of industrial development in China. Recently, he has investigated the development of the Chinese automotive industry, the globalisation strategies of Chinese firms, and China’s integration into global production networks.

Tim Morris
Organisational Behaviour and Leadership

Tim Morris is Professor of Management Studies andAcademic Director of the Diploma of Organisational Leadership at Saïd Business School. Previously a professor at Imperial College, London and London Business School, Tim specialises in the leadership challenges facing those heading up organisations. He has taught and written extensively on strategic change, the management of innovation, and strategies for
managing human capital.

Sue Dopson
Organisational Behaviour and Leadership

Dr Sue Dopson is Director of Research Degrees and teaches on our Diploma in Organisational Leadership, and the Oxford Advanced Management and Leadership Programme and is a Rhodes Trust Reader in Organisational Behaviour. She is a consultant on management development to various companies and her research interests include the nature of managerial work, the changing role of the middle manager and career issues for executives.

Rafael Ramirez
Scenarios

Rafael Ramirez is Programme Director of the Oxford Scenarios Programme and teaches on the Diploma in Strategy and Innovation. He is Fellow in Strategy at the Saïd Business School, co-editor of Business Planning in Turbulent Times and Co-Chairman of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Strategic Foresight. He previously taught at Wharton, and was Visiting Professor of Scenarios and Corporate Strategy at Shell International.

Marc Stears
Ethics, Organisation, and Leadership

Marc Stears is Fellow in Politics at University College, Oxford. His academic interests are in all areas of political philosophy. In executive education, he focuses on leadership, organisational change, public-private partnership, social responsibility, and corporate reputation and teaches on the Oxford Management Acceleration Programme. He has worked for many years with senior leaders in a number of major corporations, including BP, GlaxoSmithKline, and Shell.

Chris McKenna
Strategy and Business History

Dr Chris McKenna’s research interests include the historical development and evolving strategies of professional firms and their role in the global transformation of business, nonprofits, and the state. Adept in translating his academic work to popular audiences, McKenna’s research has been featured in The Harvard Business Review, The Sunday Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Financial Times. Chris is Academic Director of the Diploma in Strategy and
Innovation.

Dana Brown
International Business

Dr Dana Brown is a professor in Strategy and Organisation at EMLYON Business School and Associate Fellow at Said Business School. She taught for five years at Oxford University on MBA and executive programmes in Global Strategy, Political Risk and Corporate Social Responsibility. Her research focuses on social responsibility in multinational corporations and the intersection of public and private regulation of labour safety and environmental standards.

Kathy Harvey
Director, Open Programmes and Diplomas

Kathy Harvey is responsible for the development of postgraduate diplomas and open programmes at Saïd Business School. She has extensive experience of working with senior executives from international organisations, and has worked closely with clients from many sectors to deliver management development programmes. Kathy began her career as a BBC journalist and has written for a variety of publications, including the Independent, Financial Times and Sunday Times.
