“Finance is at the heart of corporate strategy. It provides the tools and language which inform strategic choices, and prioritise projects which maximise shareholder value. This course equips senior executives with the financial knowledge essential for all business leaders.”
Professor Alan Morrison, Programme Director
The Oxford Finance Programme for Senior Executives provides the financial understanding and capability to make strategic business investment decisions which manage risk and maximise shareholder value.
It develops the confidence and capability of senior managers from all backgrounds to evaluate and prioritise proposals, and have informed boardroom discussions on financial issues.
This programme will enable you to:
- Identify which strategic business projects to invest in, retain or divest
- Compare and manage the risks of multiple projects
- Make a strong case for funding to investors or the executive board
- Understand valuation and acquisition processes
- Improve corporate governance and investor relations
The week is led by Oxford University finance faculty with industry leaders from Vodafone and the Institute of Directors. Corporate finance experts from banks and investment managers demonstrate how they analyse businesses and decide which to invest in.
"The Oxford Finance Programme appealed because it is for people who are involved in making investment decisions, but who are not in finance specific roles.
Professor Alan Morrison, is superb, absolutely inspirational. He is able to make the more complex areas very accessible." Laura Whyte,
Personnel Director, John Lewis Partnership
