Senior Vice President, Polymer and Chemical Industry
"I manage a strong growth business in key emerging markets with potential for expansion. I studied corporate finance as part of my MBA years ago, but it was very theoretical. Now, as I am further in my career I encounter situations where financial knowledge is key. I don’t need to be a CFO, or finance expert, but I do need to know the terms and what to look out for when a cash flow analysis is being done or a business project prepared. I am at the point where I am involved in mergers and acquisitions, and finance is at the heart of these activities.
That’s why I came on the Oxford Finance Programme, to brush up on financial terms and understand how value is generated. Now, when I put a business case together for a major initiative I feel much more confident." |
