 How to apply

Admissions are processed through a system of review before a final decision is reached. Saïd Business School reserves the exclusive right to accept or reject applicants without explanation.

All applications require the following information:

  • Personal information (name address etc)
  • Academic background
  • Professional qualifications
  • Employment and work experience
  • Two references
  • Community and other professional appointments
  • Details of any disabilities
  • Personal statement

The personal statement should be less than 500 words, and outline how the candidate anticipates applying the content of the programme to a specific strategic, financial or organisational issue. This may form a preliminary outline of the 10,000 word project report that they will prepare as part of the programme.

 Admissions Criteria

Intellectual ability

A good undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification is required.  Applicants who do not hold such qualifications may be considered if they have a very strong employment history, demonstrating their ability as a high achiever.

Professional experience

Candidates will have at least five years’ professional experience and be familiar with financial management and business strategy.

English language proficiency

A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Test Scheme (IELTS) if English is not your native language. The University's minimum score requirements for these tests can be viewed here. Candidates with significant experience of working in an English speaking country, or a degree from a recognised institution where the medium of instruction and assessment is entirely in English, may be granted exemption from this requirement.

Deadlines

Applications are considered individually until all places are filled.  Once the programme is full we will operate a waiting list.
