The Saudi Oxford Programme for Education Leaders
SOPEL is intended to achieve the following:
- to provide participants with intensive development interventions that equip them with real insights about their personal leadership capabilities and opportunities
- to create tools, concepts and frameworks to assist participants to execute on these capabilities
- to provide them with opportunities to practice relevant new skills and behaviours
- to achieve a deeper understanding of the Saudi education system: people, institutions, stakeholders, policies, cultures and impacts
- to develop individuals’ personal capability to lead innovative change initiatives and to encourage innovation in others
- to improve participants’ ability to work successfully in cross-institutional teams
- to provide an enhanced network of contacts for the high potential leaders
- to build further upon the shared language and understanding about leadership within the Saudi education system
- to equip participants to lead for performance more strategically
- to expand their frame of reference and enlarge their thinking about school education trends in the global context
