Italian-born Fabio has lived in Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland.   He holds a BSc in Economics from University of Warwick.  During his degree, Fabio completed internships at both Goldman Sachs and Procter & Gamble. He decided to do an MSc in Financial Economics (MFE) in order to consolidate his leanings in economics and finance.  “In the last year of my undergraduate course, right after an internship in investment banking, I decided I really wanted to take what I'd learnt a step further,’’ says Fabio. “The Oxford MFE was the perfect fit. Not only could I study a course which combines the two disciplines, but it also offered the transition between a predominantly theoretical undergraduate course and a financial role in industry.’’

Fabio chose to apply to the Saïd Business School for a range of reasons.  “Oxford is a world-class university which truly fosters individual and intellectual growth,’’ he says,  “the Business School is a wonderful link between the ancient institution and the fast-paced modern world of business.’’   And he has not been disappointed. One of the most enjoyable experiences of the MFE for Fabio so far has been the friendships formed. “The whole class has bonded really well, and acts as a true MFE community.’’  Fabio has also been amazed by the collaborative character of his classmates.  “Everyone helps each other with the programme material….and having built such a great group of friends, we often plan events together and recently organised a trip to Wembley Stadium to watch a football match.’’

After graduation Fabio plans to join Procter & Gamble as a Financial Analyst in Geneva.  “I think I will return to the UK eventually,’’ he says,  "but for now, I’m still fascinated by how such a large multinational consumer goods company operates so successfully.’’  Fabio therefore hopes to stay in Switzerland for a few years to really get to know the company.
