 Eran Peleg

On graduating from the MBA program in 1996, Eran joined Gartmore Investment Management in London. Eran Peleg Here he spent the next few years managing money for a leading international fund management house, rising to become a Senior Investment Manager, responsible for management of assets worth around $2.5 billion. In 2002, he and his wife decided to return to their native Israel, where Eran was appointed as Head of International Investments for Gmulot, one of the country's top institutional asset management firms.

“In 2007, having spent 10 years as an employee in the investment management industry, I decided that the time was right to build a business,” says Eran. “I had acquired sufficient investment experience to have the confidence to manage money independently and was still young enough (37 years old) to take the risk of starting a new business.” Eran partnered with KCPS & Company (www.kcps.com), a group that had a vision to become Israel's first global asset management group, to establish KCPS Private Wealth Management (KCPS PWM).

KCPS PWM provides comprehensive global wealth management services to high-net-worth families, endowments and foundations, globally. “In hindsight, we started the business at a difficult time, just as the global financial crisis broke out, but we succeeded in building a strong business that now manages wealth of several hundreds of millions of dollars for clients in North America, the UK, Europe and Israel (KCPS & Company manages close to $1 billion in assets altogether).” The company has headquarters in Tel-Aviv along with offices in New York and Geneva.

“Coming to Oxford in 1996, and even upon leaving it a year later, I did not envisage myself setting up a business,” he says. “However, having done it, it’s clear to me today that my Oxford experience was key to this process. The knowledge, skills, contacts and confidence gained while at Oxford served as the first stepping stone in a long journey that has led me to where I am today.”
