Oxford Business Networks (OBNs) and Special Interest Groups(SIGs)
OBNs are industry-focused and SIGs are interest-focused groups for both current students and alumni. These are led by current students with mentorship and support from the alumni body. These groups create opportunities for worldwide relationship building and information sharing. OBNs and SIGs transcend geographic boundaries.
OBNs represent areas such as:
• Management consulting
• Finance
• Entrepreneurship
• Energy
• Private equity
Some of the recent SIGs have included:
• Leadership
• Women in Business
• Strategic focus on Africa
• Asia-Pacific
Each group has a webpage presence here >
Events
Three annual cornerstone events are hosted by the Alumni Relations Office to benefit OBA Network members:
• The 3-day OBA Reunion Weekend in September: with an informal drinks reception on Friday evening, academic sessions by School faculty Saturday afternoon, a college formal dinner on Saturday evening, and concluding with a restorative lunch on Sunday.
• A New Year Speaker Dinner event held at the Oxford and Cambridge Club in early February, with a top business leader as the keynote speaker.
• Alumni Day at Lord’s Cricket Ground in June, to cheer on the Dark Blues at the Oxford versus Cambridge Varsity Cricket Match.
The OBA chapters also hold events in their respective global location, for the benefit of all alumni, current students and incoming students throughout the year.
