Linda Naylor Head of Technology Transfer Isis Innovation Ltd British |
“I am Head of Technology Transfer at Isis Innovation, the technology transfer company of the University of Oxford, and my role is to manage the Technology Transfer Group, which consists of a combination of people involved with Project Management, Business Relations, Patent and Investment Management across a very broad range of disciplines and technologies.
After many years in industry, I have acquired a great deal of general business experience covering both industry and technology transfer but I wanted to put a structure and framework around this experience and the Executive MBA programme at the Saïd Business School has allowed me to achieve this.
The assignments have enabled me to take time out and many of them have been applied directly to Isis itself which has given immediate benefit to my organisation. The Executive MBA gives a structured thought process for many of the issues I have to cope with in my job and I feel more confident in some of the areas that I was previously 'self taught' in, such as Finance. Also, as I have such a broad role covering all aspects of business a general business course such as the EMBA is most beneficial.”

"Linda had already been in the senior management team at Isis for a couple of years when she started the Executive MBA. During the programme her assignments helped with our business development activities, and Linda's diligence over the 21 months meant that she kept her ‘day job' completely on track during the programme. Since gaining her Executive MBA, Linda has continued to add value to Isis, in terms of business planning, development, and execution. The EMBA undoubtedly adds skills and confidence." |
