1. A good undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification
Applicants who do not hold such qualifications may be considered if they have a very strong fast-track employment history, demonstrating their ability as a high achiever.
2. Your university academic transcripts outlining the subjects studied and grades obtained.
3. GMAT score
A GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) score is highly recommended to all candidates. Please note applicants with less than 10 years management experience are required to take the GMAT.
Make sure you submit a score sheet indicating your results and abilities in the various test sections.
Candidates for the Oxford Executive MBA who have at least 10 years’ management experience and who also have roles which require a high level of quantitative and/or analytical skill may be granted exemption from the GMAT requirement. This will be at the discretion of our Admissions Committee, upon the submission of a written request together with a full application for a place on the programme. For further information please contact the Executive MBA Admissions Office for guidance.
4. A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Test Scheme (IELTS)
If your first language is not English*, you must supply suitable evidence that you have reached the relevant level before submitting your application.

Waivers
The requirement to provide proof of proficiency may be waived, at the discretion of the School, in the following circumstances: An applicant has studied full time at degree level for a continuous period of 9 months at a recognised institution where the medium of instruction is English.
If you wish to apply for a waiver to the English language requirement, you must include a letter with your application outlining how you meet the above-mentioned criterion for a language waiver. The documentation should be an official letter from your University indicating that the medium of tuition was English throughout the whole of your academic studies.This letter is to be uploaded to the TOEFL/ IELTS section of the on-line application form.

Please note that we reserve the right to request a test of English to be taken at any time.
The institution code for ordering your official TOEFL score sheet from ETS is 0807. There is no department code, this can be left blank.
If you choose to take the IELTS you need to sit the Academic test. If you sit the TOEFL it must be the general test.
TOEFL and IELTS scores will not be valid if they are more than two years old on the application deadline for the stage in which you are applying.
5. Significant work experience
Including at least five years' managerial experience. This experience, and its development of leadership skills and maturity through practical exposure in the business arena, is essential to making the candidate a valuable contributor to the student group and the learning experience of the Executive MBA programme. Candidates also need to have achieved management level skills before commencing the Executive MBA since they will require a certain level of authority within their organisations to implement their projects and knowledge learned on the programme.
6. Two references, professional or academic (only online recommendations can be accepted).
7. Three essays on the topics outlined in the online application form.
Please ensure your application is complete upon submission. The Admissions Committee can only consider a candidate once all supporting documentation has been received.
We conduct spot checks on a regular basis to ensure the credibility of applicants' references, work experience and academic background. We also reserve the right to ask for supporting evidence if necessary.
