Overview
Michael Streatfield is undertaking his doctorate in Financial Economics at the Saïd Business School. He is supervised by Tarun Ramadorai.

Prior to his DPhil, Michael worked in the investment industry for 15 years in London and South Africa. He has gained experience across the arena in financial analysis, multi-management, investment product development, quantitative management, and ultimately, in strategy whilst working at Investec Asset Management. Michael has been active in developing the industry. A past project was founding ASISA the new united investment trade association for South Africa.
 
Michael has a B. Business Science (Actuarial, 1st class Honours) from the University of Cape Town, with distinctions in mathematics and statistics. His subsequent professional qualifications are as: a qualified actuary, a certified financial planner, and a chartered financial analyst charterholder.

Michael's research focuses on hedge funds and the durability of their fee structures.
