Developing and practising teaching skills
The Saïd Business School has placed a great deal of effort into offering doctoral students teaching opportunities at undergraduate and masters level. Teaching fellowships for doctoral students have been created in the areas of finance, marketing, organisational behaviour and strategy, entrepreneurship and international business. The School together with the Department of Educational Studies runs a DPhil Teaching Day each term which provides insight into teaching strategies, marking, giving feedback and requires the student to put together a portfolio of work that can lead to a professional qualification. There may also be opportunities to undertake tutorial teaching in colleges.
