The Oxford Doctoral (DPhil) Programme is designed for students wishing to pursue academic careers in leading universities.
The Saïd Business School is especially well placed to nurture individual interests and aspirations, having excellent connections with leading academic and corporate organisations. The Programme adopts a student-centred approach complementary to Oxford traditions of one-to-one teaching and college membership.
The structure and content of the DPhil Programme will depend on the subject you choose to specialise in. You can pursue a management research route or a financial economics route through the DPhil Programme.
The School's approach is markedly interdisciplinary, and our research programme draw on Oxford's strengths in subjects as diverse as sociology, economics, law, psychology, politics and international relations. Working at the interface of disciplines, faculty and researchers are currently exploring issues such as the politics of global business, the rise of science entrepreneurship and the management of innovation, and the social and commercial impact of information systems and the Internet.
