We want to attract exceptional students, regardless of personal background, to study at Oxford. Then we want to help their talents to develop and flourish. If you have an outstanding academic record, are highly motivated to undertake research of the highest quality, and want to study in a vibrant research community, then we look forward to welcoming you here.
There are two stages to the admissions process at the University of Oxford. The first stage is acceptance by the Saïd Business School; the second is acceptance by an individual college. However, it is not necessary to send a separate application form to colleges.
Discussing your research interests
You may have a look at our faculty listing (and, if applicable, the listing for the Economics Department on the University website) and identify and contact any possible supervisors for your research, but this is not compulsory.
Please note that part of the admissions process is to assess your suitability for doctoral research and to match your interests, via a full and complete application, with those of potential supervisors.
The application form for the 2012 Doctoral programme is now closed.
The application opening date for entry in 2013 will be announced later this year.
