Attracting the brightest and best candidates has long defined the University of Oxford as a world-leading institution. Yet funding for post-graduate education is being cut throughout the UK, and we too must work hard to ensure the best students continue to invest their future with us.
Our competitors attract 75% of students who decline our offer. When asked ‘are there any factors that could have changed your mind about attending Saïd Business School?’, 80% said that scholarships would have done so.
Many leading Business Schools offer an average of 50+ scholarships to prospective students every year. Although the School has offered up to 15 scholarships in any one year, few have been open to all applicants.
Starting in 2012, the Saïd Foundation will be supporting the School’s first unrestricted scholarship programme. It aims to provide up to 10 scholarships in any one year, and the Alumni Annual Fund is vital in ensuring we can maintain and develop this vital provision.
- 64 alumni donating a single gift of £50 each would pay the college fees for one student...
...30 alumni giving £30 a month for 5 years would fund an EMBA scholarship...
...And if 16 alumni could spare £500 a year for 5 years, we could provide 2 part-funded MBA scholarships.
