About Us: AAF History

The AAF was started in 2008 by EMBA 5 and the 2008/2009 MBA class, who were seeking a new way to give back to the business school that had enriched their lives. The two classes deemed it imperative that alumni held a degree of oversight for the funds they donated, thus, with the support of the existing alumni body, the Alumni Annual Fund was born.

Thus far, three classes of SBS students have pledged £240,000 through the annual class gift. In addition, alumni, faculty and friends of the School have given over £55,000 through a combination of single, monthly and annual gifts.

The initial committee consisted of the following founding members of the AAF:

Opeyemi Adamolekun (MBA) William de Laszlo (MBA)
Faisal Butt (MBA) Ryan Macaskill (MBA)
Jon Butt (MBA) Dominic Maffei (MBA)
