1. Alumni Representative Council (ARC)

The Alumni Representative Council’s (ARC) purpose is to fairly represent the interests of the alumni of each class and programme of the School. The ARC’s key responsibility in relation to the AAF is to ensure that the alumni body’s main issues of concern or interest are communicated to the AAFC through its Alumni Members and, correspondingly, to facilitate communication of AAFC business to the alumni body.

2. AAF Committee (AAFC)

The Alumni Annual Fund Committee (AAFC) acts as the major governing body for the fund. The AAFC consists of nine members that include representatives from the alumni body, the faculty/administration and current students of the School. With the exception of current students, whose tenure on the committee spans the duration of their studies at the School, all representatives hold a two-year term on the AAFC.

The AAFC key responsibilities are as follows:

(a)   Oversight and Compliance – To confirm the allocation of funds in accordance with the donors’ instructions and to represent the donors’ interests in ensuring the funds are being used for the proper purpose for which the donation was intended; and

(b)  Communication and Reporting – To facilitate communications to the alumni body of marketing related information, strategy and achievements of the respective funding areas.
