Li joined the Centre as a research fellow in October 2010.
Li completed her Ph.D. in economics from Rutgers University in January 2011. Her doctoral dissertation is on corporate income taxation (Supervisors: Rosanne Altshuler and Hilary Sigman). Previously she studied economics at the College of New Jersey as an undergraduate (summa cum laude).
Her current research interests include measuring the impact of business taxation on choice of assets, the incidence of the corporate income tax, and the relation between personal and corporate tax rates and the decision to incorporate. Li is also interested in the effect of tax incentives on the cleanup of brownfields.
