 Henry Gonzalez 

Skollar 2004/05

Henry's professional experience spans the sectors of emerging markets, impact investing and political and economic development. He is currently Entrepreneur-In-Residence of the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford University's Saïd Business School. Prior to this role, he was Vice President with Morgan Stanley where he focused in Emerging Markets Debt and Microfinance Investing.  In addition, he collaborated with the Bank’s Global Sustainable Finance Group and worked for its Latin American Private Wealth Management division. He also held positions at the Global Exchange for Social Investment (GEXSI) in London, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in San José, Costa Rica and the World Bank in Washington D.C. In his earlier career, he was the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Agriculture in his home country Costa Rica, and served as a Legislative Advisor to the Vice President of the Legislative Assembly.

Henry is currently a Ph.D. student in Economics at Sorbonne University Paris 1 where he is engaged in research related to risks and vulnerabilities in impact investing. Henry received an MBA from Oxford University where he held the Skoll Scholarship for Social Entrepreneurship, an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government where he was a Fulbright Scholar; and a BA in Political Science from the University of Costa Rica.
