Overview
Robin Saunders is Managing Partner of Clearbrook Capital Partners LLP, a private equity firm which specialises in Financial Services and Operating companies underpinned by real estate. Established in 2004, the Clearbrook Partnership has investments in property, asset management, specialty finance, banks and infrastructure finance. Prior to founding Clearbrook, Robin was a leading City banker specialising in securitisation and principal finance. From September 1998 through December 2003, she was Managing Director of the Principal Finance Group and the agency Asset Securitisation group at WestLB AG. Her WestLB transactions included the purchase, finance or refinancing of British Home Stores, Formula One, Wembley Stadium, Odeon Cinemas, Telecom Italia, MidKent Water and Pubmaster amongst others.
Before joining WestLB, Robin held various management positions at Deutsche Bank AG, Chase Manhattan Bank and Citigroup in London following a position at the Northern Trust Company in Chicago.
Robin has served on numerous boards including: Formula One Holdings, the holding company of FOA which exclusively held the commercial rights to exploit Formula One Grand Prix races; Pubmistress Ltd, parent company of Pubmaster group, owner of approximately 3,200 UK based pubs; Bhs Group Limited, a 170 store UK retailer; Swan Capital Group Ltd (formerly Mid Kent Holdings), a UK water utility; Whyte and Mackay Group Ltd, the Scotch whisky company; Odeon (Cinemas); The Office of the Rail Regulator; Hawk Group, pan-European finance company; and, Harbourmaster Capital (Holdings) Ltd, a top ranked European Debt Asset Management Company. She is also on the board of Sadler’s Wells.
