Overview
Johannes P. Huth joined KKR in May 1999 as Managing Director. He is a member of the general partners of KKR & Co LP. and is responsible for KKR’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He is also a member of the Firm’s Management Committee and several of the Firm’s Investment Committees. Prior to joining KKR in May 1999, Johannes was a member of the Management Committee of Investcorp and jointly responsible for Investcorp's operations in Europe. From 1986 to 1991, he worked at Salomon Brothers, where he was a Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions departments in London and New York. Transactions at KKR in which Mr Huth has participated include Wincor Nixdorf, Zumtobel, Demag Holdings, MTU Aero Engines, DSD, Selenia, Kion Group, NXP Semiconductors, Pro7 Sat1, BMG and Wild.
He is currently a Member of the Supervisory Board of Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG), is a Member of the Supervisory Board of Kion, is a Director of KKR & Co Limited, is President of KKR & Co SAS, is Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NXP BV, is a Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ProSieben Sat 1 Media AG and a Member of the Advisory Board of Wild Flavors GmbH and a member of the board of Versatel AG.
He is the chairman of the trustees of the Private Equity Foundation a charitable organisation set up by the Private Equity industry focused on providing support to charities involved with young people not in education, employment or training. He is a trustee of the Design Museum, the Staedel Museum in Frankfurt and a governor of the London School of Economics.
He earned a BSc. with Highest Honors from the London School of Economics and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
