 Sameer Al Ansari 

Overview


Sameer Al Ansari is the Chief Executive Officer of SHUAA Capital, the region’s leading financial services institution. Mr. Al Ansari helped establish Dubai Holding in 2004. That same year, he founded Dubai International Capital and headed the Firm as its Executive Chairman and CEO creating a globally recognised investment company. He previously served as Group Chief Financial Officer for The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Prior to joining the Executive Office, Mr. Al Ansari was Chief Financial Officer at Dubai Aluminium Company (DUBAL) for eight years. He sits on a number of different boards including Dubai International Financial Centre, SHUAA Capital Saudi Arabia, Amwal Qatar, and Gulf Finance Corporation. Mr. Al Ansari was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Loughborough University for outstanding achievement and leadership in finance. Mr. Al Ansari is the recipient of the Special Merit Award for MENA Private Equity World by Terrapinn for two consecutive years, 2007 and 2008. In 2008, he was ranked 11th on the Arabian Business Power 100 list and was also appointed as a Visiting Fellow at Oxford University's Centre for Corporate Reputation.  Mr Al Ansari is a frequently requested industry speaker at regional and international conferences, and has been featured as a highly respected financial leader in the international media.
