Overview

Dr. Thomas Middelhoff is Chairman and founding partner of Berger Lahnstein Middelhoff & Partners LLP (BLM), an alternative asset management firm based in London. He is former Chairman and CEO of Arcandor AG. Between 1990 and 1994, Thomas was Chairman of the Managing Board of Mohndruck Gmbh and a Member of the Board of the Print and Industrial Enterprises division of Bertelsmann AG (now Arvato AG).

Between 1994 and 1998 he was a Member of the Management Board of Bertelsmann AG, Gütersloh, Head of Corporate Development and Coordinator of Bertelsmann’s multimedia business, Head of IT worldwide, becoming Chairman and CEO of Bertelsmann Group AG between 1998 and 2002. Between 2003 and 2005  he joined Investcorp International Ltd in London as a Partner and was Head of Europe for Corporate Investment.  Dr Middelhoff holds a number of non-executive positions including The New York Times Company and Chairman, Senator Entertainment AG, Berlin.
