Corporate Affairs* Directors are today the most cited owners of reputation strategy within corporations. This in part reflects their oversight and control over both internal and external stakeholder engagement and their increasing seniority within corporations.
The Corporate Affairs Academy has been created to provide a rigorous and analytical forum where these functional leaders can meet and discuss issues, trends and best practice. Its aim is to help Corporate Affairs leaders make a more strategic, systematic and valuable contribution to their business.
Membership of the Academy, which is by invitation only, is open to a limited number of Corporate Affairs Directors of major corporations around the world. Members will be invited for a period of one year, following which they become an alumnus of The Corporate Affairs Academy.
Members will meet twice a year, in Oxford, and will be joined by senior executives and professionals together with academics whose work is of relevance to the membership and who themselves can help inform and shape the debate. The Academy will address the organisational, management and oversight/governance challenges of building and protecting corporate reputation across an enterprise. Outputs from the Academy meetings will be disseminated to the membership and alumni groups.
Alumni will also be invited to an annual Corporate Affairs Academy dinner and may receive an invitation to participate for a further year as a member of the Academy depending on the circumstances. A copy of the Terms of Reference can be viewed here.
The founder partners of The Corporate Affairs Academy are The Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation and Hesleden Partners.
If you are interested in applying for membership of The Corporate Affairs Academy, please send your CV with a covering letter to sarah.wright@sbs.ox.ac.uk who will pass it for consideration by representatives of the Centre and Hesleden Partners.
