
Overview
Royston Greenwood is the Telus Professor of Strategic Management and Associate Dean (Research) in the School of Business at the University of Alberta, Canada. He is Visiting Professor at the Novak Druce Centre for Professional Service Firms.
His current research interests include the organizational management and design of professional service firms, with particular reference to the influence of institutional processes upon decision making and behaviour during moments of change. Earlier work included: comparative analysis of the financial performance of professional partnerships and publicly traded consulting firms; identification of factors influencing the performance of large accounting firms; and, analysis of the role of professional associations in the emergence of the multidisciplinary practise.
His work has been published in the Administrative Science Quarterly, the Academy of Management Journal, the Academy of Management Review, the Strategic Management Journal, and Organization Studies. He is the Co-Editor of Strategic Organization. In 2007 he was elected Chair Designate of the Organization and Management Theory Division of the Academy of Management, which will severely curtail his ability to follow Leeds United FC.
