 Mehdi Boussebaa

Mehdi Boussebaa is a Lecturer in Organizational Studies at the University of Bath. Prior to joining Bath in September 2009, he was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Novak Druce Centre for Professional Service Firms within Saïd Business School, where he is now Associate Fellow. He received his PhD (ESRC-funded) from the University of Warwick in 2008.

Prior to his academic career, Mehdi spent 2½ years working for an American telecoms research and consulting firm in London. He also worked as a summer analyst on a joint London School of Economics-McKinsey project researching management practices in France, Germany, the UK and the USA.

Mehdi Boussebaa’s primary research investigates the managerial and organizational implications of globalization. Empirically, he concentrates on global professional service firms and, theoretically, he draws on the fields of International Management and Organization Theory (principally Institutionalism and Postcolonialism). His most recent research project examined the organizational challenges that globalization creates for major international management consultancies, focusing on such domains as the management of flexpatriate assignments, the formation of global teams, and the transnational diffusion of knowledge. His research has been published in such journals as Human Relations, Organizational Dynamics and Organization Studies.
